Did you know that it's National Cupcake Week? Not that we need an excuse to make cakes, but here are our Top Five Cupcake Recipes from a range of fantastic food bloggers! Make a nice cup of tea and enjoy!
Bourbon Biscuit Cupcakes
We're obsessed with this creative cupcake recipe - biscuits AND cupcakes, what more could you want?
What you need:
- 100g butter
- 100g sugar
- 2 x free range eggs
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 100g self-raising flour
- 12 Bourbon biscuits
- Wilton ready to decorate icing in a can (white)
- chocolate sprinkles

Chocolate and Chili Cupcakes
Yet again another creative recipe, who would of thought that chili and chocolate would go together so well?
What you will need:
- 150 grams plain flour
- 3/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 90 grams granulated sugar
- 90 grams soft light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp hot chili powder or more, to taste!
- 30 grams cocoa powder
- 115 ml water
- 60 grams unsalted butter
- 75 ml full fat milk
- 1/2 tsp distilled white vinegar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp Madagascar bourbon vanilla bean paste
- 400 grams chocolate fudge frosting (I used Betty Crocker)
- crushed chilli flakes to decorate

Key Lime Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
Unique idea for a cupcake - great idea if you want to make something a little bit different!
What you will need:
- 140g unsalted butter, room temperature
- 285g golden caster sugar
- 120ml sour cream
- 3 medium eggs
- 170g self-raising flour
- 1 teaspoons baking powder
- 55g ground almonds
- Finley grated zest of 1 lime
- Juice of 1 lime
- 110g unsalted butter
- 110g cream cheese
- 450g icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons of pavlova magic

- 4oz caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 4 0z self raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder

- ready roll icing red icing and ready roll white icing
