The Story Behind Merseyside Sheds

The Early Days
Merseyside Sheds started back in 1982 when my dad, Toni Deary decided to build a shed at home in his garden. After a neighbour enquired about having one built for them as well, Toni saw the potential for a business. He rented a small unit on an industrial estate to kickstart the manufacturing process, and the rest is history.
Expansion and Development
As the business expanded, Toni bought bigger premises in 1986 (which is where we are located now!) and established the largest indoor showroom for garden buildings.
Merseyside Sheds show site was once Bootle’s Cunard Shell Works during the First World War.
The company quickly grew in popularity among the public, attracting attention from national house builders who sought to have new garden sheds installed on their projects. In the 2000s, new competitors emerged, attempting to rival the reputation and quality that Merseyside Sheds had built since the early 1980s, but they could not endure the competition.
At the start of 2013, I joined the team as Show Site Manager, and brought in a range of new products. One of the exciting additions was the introduction of outsourced Log Cabins, which expanded our garden building range. Moreover, we began catering to customers from Wales and Scotland, enabling us to broaden our customer base and serve a larger portion of mainland England.

We experienced a significant increase in demand during the pandemic while still upholding our high-quality standards. To meet this surge, we had to expand our manufacturing efforts. In late 2022, we made the decision to shift the company's focus to be more customer oriented. By partnering with Tiger Sheds we were able to enhance our product range, maintain excellent quality, and continue serving customers nationwide.
