On the 19th October 2017, GLORIOUS! Soups brought the world’s first ‘Wellness Shed’ to Shoreditch for a special virtual reality mindfulness experience. We are proud to have been chosen to manufacture the Wellness Shed, to be a part of the unique pop-up event!
The Wellness Experience
Let’s set the scene. You walk into a beautifully crafted Tiger Shed, don a pair of VR glasses, look down, and suddenly you’re stirring a pot of soup. Then, as you keep stirring, binaural music plays which encourages mindfulness. You slow down… you keep stirring… you take a few moments to be mindful. You escape the mayhem of society, and you’re rewarded with a real bowl of soup, too!
The Importance of Mindfulness
Life can be stressful. Deadlines, commuting, bills, work, money (or lack of…) can contribute to the hectic nature of our modern lives. It’s important to make time to relax, to stop and smell the flowers… or in this case – stop and stir the soup!
