The Raised Planters are a great way to add a feature to an outdoor space, patio or garden. They can make a statement on a patio with a trellis planter or balcony, or can be used as a herb planter by a door or window for easy access. Available in several sizes they will suit most spaces, and are a great alternative to pots.
To blend in with our quality log cabin range, we use the same slow grown High Grade European Softwoods from reliable sources. Unlike many budget competitor products the bar is hand built using only the highest quality materials and features high-grade 28mm interlocking planed and finished logs with a specially designed 4-way chamfered notch-joint system which ensures a tight fit so there's no visible gaps due to loose joints. Complete with a solid floor 19mm thick, it's built to last. Beware of other log cabin retailers that feature rough-edged, square cut parts machined from poor quality timber!

It is essential that this log planter is assembled strictly in accordance with the instructions supplied and ideally should also be treated as soon as is practical after assembly and then annually thereafter with an appropriate high quality preservative. All Tiger cabin logs are designed to interlock with a chamfered finish to ensure a snug fit. The unique four-way chamfered notch system is specially designed to prevent damp or wind penetration. A smooth, solid, strong barrier engineered to meet our high quality standards.
Our timber is sustainably sourced. We use slow grown European softwood, cut in our own sawmill to a high grade. Each log fits tongue and groove for strength and solidity, and is cut to an 0.01mm tolerance. The extra thick 44mm logs have a double tongue and groove for an even firmer link.
Tiger garden buildings come with TigerFelt® as standard. This is a thicker, polyester-backed high-grade mineral felt to provide a reliable, weatherproof barrier with reduced wear and tear. Only premium quality roofing felt will do!
Joiner-made doors and windows are supplied fully glazed or boarded, and all external doors are fitted with mortice locks, with double glazing, 5-lever locks and roof shingles upgrades also available.

Beware of imitations- log cabins which use cheaper styrene plastic windows (which tend to ‘mist’ or shatter easily over time). All Tiger log cabins come with 4mm thick toughened glass as standard. This glazing is more shock and heat resistant than horticultural glass in many other buildings, making your Tiger all the more durable.

Every Tiger model has a set of helpful instructions to help assemble the building. A copy will be sent with your delivery, but there will be an electronic version on the product page in the DOWNLOADS section you can access. All the instructions can also be found in the Help Section in the Instructions library.
There should be an assembly video available to help put your building together. These cover different building types rather than individual building ranges, so while they are very helpful in showing how different building features are fitted please always use the instructions for your building model.

We would recommend using a specifically developed exterior paint or stain to colour your garden building. There are several brands that are available on the market: we would recommend choosing a product that has been purposefully-developed to coat timber garden buildings and fencing, and uses a higher grade water-repelling timber colour coating.
With this in mind, we offer Protek Royal Exterior paint for use on Tiger buildings, if you are considering to paint directly on to the timber once it has been assembled. For the choice of colours available direct from Tiger, please see the selection here.
Tap the logs together for a tight fit using a rubber headed mallet. We would recommend a white-rubber headed mallet, which can be obtained from any good DIY store for around £10. If you don't have a rubber headed mallet, you can also use a hammer and a woodblock offcut (in the packaging with your cabin delivery) to avoid damaging cabin logs.
