"I'm incredibly proud that Shed Of The Year has become something of a British institution. When we started in 2007, I honestly
had no idea whether anyone would be interested. Now, twenty years on, we've featured in national newspapers, on television, and
we've inspired thousands of people to see their garden buildings in a completely new light.
The competition has become part of Britain's quirky cultural fabric - it sits alongside village fetes, allotment societies, and shed
club as one of those wonderful traditions that make this country unique. We've had entries from every corner of the UK, from the
Highlands of Scotland to the tip of Cornwall, and each one tells a story about British creativity and determination.
The fact that we're still going strong after all these years, with entries getting more innovative every season, shows that the shed
movement isn't just a passing fad - it's here to stay. I'm absolutely thrilled to be stewarding something that brings so much joy to
so many people."
