How to Turn a Summerhouse into The Love Shack
Published: 28/07/2021
Scott Henry and his fiancée, Coleen, work very hard during the week, but were looking for a garden building to relax in at weekends. In this Customer Spotlight, Scott tells us how he turned his 12x6 Tiger Retreat Contemporary Summerhouse into The Love Shack…
What led Scott to Tiger Sheds?
Like most of our customers, Scott did some digging online and found Tiger. He says, “Tiger Sheds had very good reviews online – and we were pleased to see you’re a local firm. Plus, Tiger offers the best price I could find for what we wanted. I don’t like spending money without doing my research first, but the good reviews put my mind at ease. “The installation service was a great price too – and that topped it for me!”
How do Scott and Coleen use their Retreat Contemporary Summerhouse?
“My fiancée and I use the Summerhouse every weekend – we love chilling out in there. Sometimes friends gate crash too, though,” Scott says with a smile.
What does Scott think would’ve happened without the Summerhouse?
“Well, my fiancée loves to sit outside. And without the Summerhouse there’d be lots of toing and froing when it gets cold or rains! Now we can enjoy the garden together in all weathers.”
The wall art and blue sofas inside look great. What inspired the couple to decorate it this way?
“We were looking to do it out in a tacky but chic kind of way – and it ended up looking really good. “I got to learn some DIY skills while decorating. And the best thing is we keep adding more to it.”
Scott used our installation service. How did we do?
“Well, when they came, they put it up super fast, and were very friendly and professional. They also gave me tips on how to take care of it, so I reckon it’ll stand the test of time!
Is Scott happy with how it turned out?
“Before we put The Love Shack at the bottom of our garden, it was just an unused stoned space. It has completely changed the look of our garden – for the better!”
What has most impressed Scott about his Tiger Summerhouse?
“The thing we like most about the building is the large full-pane windows – they’re great! They let in plenty of sunlight. And they’re all at the front, which makes The Love Shack a private space out of sight of our neighbours.”
