What Goes Into A TigerFlex® Summerhouse?

Shiplap Cladding

Shiplap Cladding

Tiger buildings are constructed with shiplap cladding, a superior tongue & groove timber board with a flush-fit finish. Each solid plank is 12mm thick with scalloping to help prevent water ingress. Copycat competitor summerhouses use rougher overlap boards which can be thinner and less weather resistant.

Thicker Framing

Thicker Framing

We use high-grade slow-grown timber in our framing to provide the sturdy support your summerhouse needs. Sustainably sourced, it’s over an inch thick (28x44mm), and there’s about 20% more of it on a TigerFlex® than on comparable conventional summerhouses.

All TigerFlex® windowed summerhouses come with 3mm thick toughened glass as standard - making your TigerFlex® all the more durable - pre-fitted for easier assembly.

We treat our timber with TigerSkin®, a specially formulated preservative, developed over many years. This is soaked into the wood and then carefully dried to give your summerhouse an extra layer of protection 365 days a year.
