Inspired Interiors 3: The Ultimate Workshop
Published: 16/08/2016

Welcome to the third episode of Inspired Interiors. If you’re new to this series we take a Tiger Sheds building and decorate it with a stunning interior decor scheme! This month we hope to inspire you by transforming a Tiger XL Heavyweight Shed into The Ultimate Workshop!
The chosen product that we will decorate this month is The Tiger XL Heavyweight Workshop Shed.
Why we chose this product. We chose the Tiger XL Heavyweight Workshop Shed as it's spacious, attractive and versatile - perfect for creating a productive work space! This particular model is 20x10, as we feel for this building to become the ultimate workshop it really needs to offer plenty of space!
Mood board for this month’s Interior Decor Scheme.
Brief description: We conjured up this scheme with the intention of creating a modern, orderly and fairly swank place for someone to focus on their work! We think this scheme would be perfect for anyone hoping to create a productive and motivating work space with a modern twist! We believe in order to feel truly motivated and inspired you need to please all of your senses; so this interior decor scheme focuses on pleasing every single one of them...
The Tiger XL Heavyweight Workshop Shed decorated to become the Ultimate Workshop!
How the Ultimate Workshop is designed to please all the senses: Visual: To create a contemporary work space we think it's vital that the room has order, is kept tidy at all times, with minimal decor and no clutter! Therefore, to keep the space neat, you will need plenty of storage. For the Ultimate Workshop look we've added in some beautiful and stylish Workshop Benches in black and a very handy Tool Rack in blue! Liz Toombs, President of Polka Dots & Rosebuds Interiors, says, 'To create a functional home office it's important to have adequate storage options throughout the space. Both open and closed storage is ideal to have so you are able to easily access items you use the most and the rest can be tucked away.' Additionally, as we wanted to create a space primarily for working, we wanted to give it a clean and assertive feel, so we went for this simple and dark colour scheme mainly filled with black and grey tones. Then we added in a pop of colour with the blue tool rack! Bright light is conductive for doing good work - so we've added in these Warehouse Garage Lights across the ceiling of the building to provide optimum light! Touch: We've added in a slip proof floor for safety purposes, so you won't slip when carrying dangerous tools, plus we think it looks great with this more subdued colour scheme! The Workshop Benches will also feel lovely and smooth, providing the ideal space to work on (much better than a rough sawn wooden bench). Smell: It's vital that your work space is fresh and pleasant to work in. Those huge double doors that this building has to offer, can be left open from time to time to let in fresh air so you feel bright and alert. Sound: We've added in a modern plasma screen in black which has been placed up on the wall! We added this in so whilst you're working you can indulge in some music, a good film or keep up with the football! On the other hand, you might actually want some peace and quiet when working, or people from your home might not want to hear you hammering, so we've also soundproofed this workshop! Taste: The Ultimate Workshop doesn't have to be just a space to work in, it can also be somewhere to relax and enjoy your own company! So to please your taste buds whilst you'r relaxing, we think you could potentially add in a mini fridge for snacks as there's plenty of space!
