Many log cabin companies import their log cabins from abroad e.g. the Baltics. Many use white wood whereas we use the highest quality red wood available. White wood is much more prone to warping and splitting. Our UK manufactured log cabins use red wood which is a naturally smoother and better finish.

Our professionally joiner made opening windows and doors are much higher in terms of quality than other companies. Many log cabin windows and doors are externally hung and therefore very prone to warping. Our doors and windows are hung internally, very similar to how traditional house doors and windows are hung.

The ridge height on our log cabins is generally very tall in comparison to many others, as is the eaves height. We can even manufacture our garden buildings to be under 2.5m in accordance with the planning regulations. Please contact us on 0845 838 5676 for more details.

The floor of our high quality log cabins are modular and will come in a number of sections, which easily slot together making assembly very easy. Many competitor buildings come in around 50 separate floor boards and then the extra underside framing and joists – i.e. around 50 pieces compared to our few. It will be an approx 10 minute job to build the floor on our log cabins and around 3 hours to build the floor on a competitors log cabin.

We supply internal skirting for a better internal finish.

Our doors have a high quality three lever lock. Many competitors have standard European locks or no lock at all.

We rebate our roof purlings to ensure that no visible light is seen between our logs. Most competitors do not rebate their roof purlings and therefore you may see visible light at the top of their gables coming through into the log cabin. If light can get through, then water can get through.

Our logs are chamfered at the end whereas many competitor log cabins are squared at the end. We do this to provide a better looking product. A lot of other companies end their logs as a square cut which is arguably a less aesthetically pleasing finish.

We generally supply our buildings with a number roof trusses to ensure that the roof will not sag, which many competitors do not do. Please contact us for more information regarding any of the above.
