Pressure Treated Sheds
Cladding which has been pressure treated (or tanalised) has been impregnated with Tanalith®E – the latest generation wood preservative. Our pressure treated sheds are completely protected against all forms of timber decay and insect attack, and therefore has a greatly extended service life that is guaranteed for 15 years. This extra 16mm thick, low maintenance cladding is used exclusively in the production of our premier range of garden sheds.
Be very careful when ordering a pressure treatment shed – when timber is pressure treated it is put into a chamber and impregnated with tanalith which then protects the timber. It takes around two months for the timber to fully dry out – in this time most shed companies will manufacture the various panels of the building. Once the timber is dry it will then shrink and you will see visible gaps in the cladding. Unlike most other companies we use 16mm thick cladding for our pressure treated timber and extra long tongue and grooves to ensure you have maximum quality with no visible gaps in the timber – you will struggle to find another company who does this. Other companies simply supply the cheapest pressure treated building they can just to state that you not need to retreat it.
